Norwalk, CT, February 2, 2016: Comedian and journalist Faith Salie, of NPR’s Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me! and CBS News Sunday Morning, is bringing her wit and charm to BookExpo America (BEA) for the must-see event of the convention — the Adult Book & Author Breakfast. As Master of Ceremonies, Salie will use her distinct voice to lead a conversation about the current projects for herself and esteemed guests, while opening a wider discussion about the writing process and the importance of books in today’s culture. She will be joined by noted authors Sebastian Junger (Tribe: On Homecoming and Belonging), Colson Whitehead (The Underground Railroad: A Novel), and Louise Penny (A Great Reckoning), all of whom will also speak about their upcoming releases and the inspiration behind their writing. BEA’s author breakfasts continue to be a highlight of the show each year, drawing over a thousand attendees each to hear about the new books from some of the most prominent authors and celebrities in the industry.
Taking place Thursday, May 12, the BEA Adult Book & Author Breakfast is one of the many events at BEA that will highlight the hundreds of authors who participate in the show. The breakfast will be followed by the highly anticipated Children’s Book & Author Breakfast on Friday morning.
“Our Adult Book & Author Breakfast is one of the most sought-after events at BEA each year. We are thrilled with this lineup of outstanding authors and know that their insightful discussion will offer attendees a memorable morning,” said Steven Rosato, Event Director for BEA.
